‘Hit the Floor’ star Stephanie Mosley was shot dead by her boyfriend Earl Hayes on Monday as the rapper flew into a rage over the supposed infidelity of his girlfriend.
Mosley was a dancer on VH1’s hit show ‘Hit the Floor’, and was well known in the industry having been a long time back-up dancer, including working with Chris Brown at various stages in the past.
Hayes was a rapper who was a part of Floyd Mayweather’s entourage, and had once been signed to Mayweather’s label Philthy Rich records.
Mail Online reports that Mayweather was on video chat with Hayes on Facetime when the entire incident occurred, and the undefeated boxer had the unfortunate fortune of witnessing the entire thing.
Hayes was believed to be enraged over the supposed infidelity of Mosley, claiming that she was having a fling with a supposed top musician. In a rage he called Mayweather, who tried to calm down his friend rage but Hayes paid him no heed.
He shot Mosley, and then turned the gun on himself as a shaken Mayweather witnessed everything.
TMZ confirmed the development, saying “Floyd is in shock and is having extreme difficulty dealing with the fact that he witnessed a horrifying murder/suicide”
Police arrived soon after, after neighbours who heard screaming notified the authorities; but the SWAT team who broke down the apartment door only found a couple corpses.
Aside Chris Brown, Mosley has worked with Janet Jackson and Britney Spears, and has also appeared in a few movies.
Our condolences to the bereaved families.
