The developments are comings so thick and fast in this Cosby issue, with people so interested in finding out whether the legendary comedian is really just an unashamed sexual predator.
Judy Huth became the first out of the recent cluster of women with allegations to file a lawsuit against Cosby. In it she claimed the iconic comedian sexually abused her at the Playboy Mansion in LA back in 1974, when she was just 15 years old.
But in a counter claim from Cosby’s lawyers, as sighted by Mail Online, he is claiming that the lawsuit is nothing more than an attempt to extort money due to the recent claims made by so many women.
The papers state Miss Huth’s lawyer contacted Cosby’s lawyer a month ago with claims for cash in return for silence. The initial amount was $100,000, which increased to as much as $250,000 a more women came forward with their claims.
The papers also state that she tried to sell the same story to some tabloids ten years ago and that was unsuccessful.
Another report also mentions that the papers state Cosby is a lifelong non-drinker, which cast doubts over her claim of how he got them drunk.
Judy Huth claims she and a 16 year old friend were invited to the Playboy Mansion by Mr Cosby. After he got them drunk (through a drinking game), she claims he forced her to perform a sex act on him with her hand.
She further claimed that “this traumatic incident, at such a tender age, has caused psychological damage and mental anguish for (Huth) that has caused significant problems throughout her life”
Jill Scott took to twitter to defend Cosby, saying that he is being castigated without any shred of proof (yet). Whoopi Goldberg sang the same tune on ABC’s ‘The View’, getting into a heated argument with her co-hosts over the issue.
In two tweets on his timeline, Cosby extended gratitude to both Scott and Goldberg for their support.
This is not dying out anytime soon.
