Despite Nigeria Being EBOLA Free, a Security Guard in UK Who Returned from a Holiday in Nigeria Has Been Banned From Work by Employer for Fear of Having EBOLA

This is beyond ridiculous—and the way people seem to be grouping all Africans as having Ebola has become totally offensive, to the extent that some Africans have even lost their jobs in America over this…

In the UK, a security guard who returned from a holiday in Nigeria was shocked to find he had been banned from work because his employer fears he has Ebola.

This comes at a time when Nigeria has been declared as Ebola free by the World Health Organisation.

The security guard-Sam Ayodele Ogunnoiki, 46, from St Austell, Cornwall is reported to have come back from a three week holiday on Saturday to find a letter from his boss saying several members of staff had raised concerns about working with him following his trip.

Sam Ayodele Ogunnoiki has worked with Stout Security LTD for eight years and yet, the director of the company-Trevor Mannell told him in a letter that he cannot work with the company until he had been back in the UK for 3 weeks—and that his colleagues have expressed fear and concern, unwilling to work with him because he may be carrying the deadly Ebola virus.

What a shock! Surely the Employment Tribunal will have something to say in his favour about this…
