Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Speaks Again: Read Why He is Like Jesus Christ and Incapable of Wrongdoing | Also Says His Wife is Not a Woman of God

As divorce proceedings continue against him amidst charges of adultery, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome remains bullish whenever he opens his mouth to speak.

The leader of Christ Embassy is going through a trying period of his career, yet you could never tell from the utterances he makes, particularly before his congregation. It seems he has it all figured out, but as far as I’m concerned he keeps digging a bigger hole for himself to be buried in.

He is already on record as having said Pastors wives get too big for their shoes, thinking they are equal to their husbands after they get married.

He has now come out with more proclamations, proving the size of the ego on him and showing that in his eyes he’s incapable of wrong. Only others, those who are not ‘men of God’, are capable of doing wrong.

He is also probably some kind of a sexist too, I’m not sure.

He was speaking to his congregation, in a tirade that took on the media, his wife, and that portrayed him going through trials and tribulations, same as Jesus Christ did.

“A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God… No man of God does something against the Lord”

He told his congregation how he’s innocent of any wrong, and why being accused of committing adultery makes him like Jesus Christ.

“You don’t know who a man of God is. I don’t go in that direction. I wasn’t accused of the things you said, nor did I commit those silly things that you said and I don’t need to go into that level in such discussion.”

“Jesus Christ was accused by many – a lot of frivolous charges. There will always be those who would like for it to be true. But you know, in spite of the accusations against Jesus, It didn’t change who he was. It didn’t change him.”

He then explained why his wife might not be as enlightened as people give her credit for because “If you are married to a man of God, it doesn’t make you automatically mature. You can make mistakes; you can do something that is wrong”

That’s good to hear, but I daresay the same is true of men of God, who after all are nothing but ‘flesh and blood’ like the rest of us.

“If a man of God is married, it doesn’t automatically mean that the wife of a man of God is therefore a woman of God. That’s not the way it is in the Bible.

That’s why you don’t really find the wives of men of God mentioned in the Bible. How many of them? Who was Peter’s wife, did you ever know her name? You never find that out. Who was John’s wife? Did you ever read the name? What about all the other Apostles? How many of their names are written in the Bible. You never find their names.”

He worked a really long time with his wife for him to be saying now that she isn’t a woman of God, and he makes a great case about the irrelevance of women in the Bible. So is it he or his faith that is sexist?

Anyway, some good stuff from Pastor Chris. To offset everything, he asked his congregation to pray for his wife. We can only hope God forgives her for having the nerve to attempt divorcing a man of God.
