If I am ever asked during an examination to mention a group of people who live in absolute lies, depression and can smile to make others think, everything is fabulous—straight up, I will go for the word CELEBRITIES.

Many people far from the game envy celebrities for what seems like a fantastic life they have but if you know the tricks of the trade, I don’t think you will ever dream of being a celebrity—selling your whole existence for fame and looking at the ceiling each night to cry alone should not be chased.

No wonder many celebrities live on drugs and are cousins of depression, anxiety and falsehood.

South African movie star- Leleti Kumalo who took over the continent with her role in the Apartheid movie-Sarafina, and later on appeared in Hotel Rwanda has opened up about her life in a recent interview on Nicky Greenwall’s The Close Up.

Leleti talked about her journey to stardom and her nasty divorce, saying, “I was living a false life. I would portray that I was living a happy life yet I was living a very disgusting life,”.

The multiple award winning actress admitted that being famous is a very difficult life and she added, “I know it because I lived it,”.

Before starring in the cinema production of Sarafina alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Leleti Kumalo was pretty popular in South Africa for the Broadway performance of Sarafina and up to today, she remains one of South Africa’s best.
