Ghanaian actress-Yvonne Okoro has taken upon herself to encourage underprivileged persons to be focused in life and the career choices they make.

The popular actress visited OrphanAid Africa’s young adults at the Young Adults Support Services Ghana (YASS Ghana) premises at Medina in Accra on Friday August 22 afternoon—and told the children they shouldn’t give up on their dreams of becoming successful persons in life just because of what people think or say about them.

OrphanAid Africa is a non-profit organization developing programs and projects to help vulnerable children and their families in Ghana.

The organization was originally founded as a local NGO in Ghana in 2002 and progressively grew internationally with registered branches in the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

The common goal of these branches is to rescue vulnerable children in need of care and to trace and reunify children with their families.

It also strengthens families and communities so they can care for their own children.

The YASS program provides services and support to young adults transitioning from care into adulthood through life skills education and career development services to create better opportunities for success.

The award winning actress was at the outfit to inspire persons there with her personal life experiences and career experiences as part of her social responsibility.

She touched on a lot of issues but emphasized on the positive choices they make in life as individuals.

  1. This is what all individuals shd be doing everywhere & anywhere in the global world. when we all contribute our quota in a small little way, it would go further to reduce social vices that goes a long way to affect our own communities. we don’t need millions in order to help. the little word of encouragement u give that underprivileged person nearby to boast their urge for a better n greater future, is as equally important or even a little more important to financial help…when they make it our world becomes a better place in an increase percentage…Pride, Respect, & achievement!

From the inner part of my heart, i say a BIG THANK YOU to Yvonne Okoro for taking up this challenge of avocation. May God Bless u n Increase u in WISDOM! Bravoooooo.
