It is another week and we bring you GC’s Cartoon of the Week—this time, we are looking at Prophet T.B Joshua’s 4000 bottles of anointing water package for the various Ebola Suffering communities of Sierra Leone which will cost $50,000 in transportation via a chartered flight as announced by the church.
It is commendable to see churches take up such charitable works but as usual, the Christ in them would not be left behind. We know what happened in Haiti during the disaster—and how the Catholics and the many religious charitable bodies went out there to proselytise those in need.
Charity should be charity, independent of any sort of proselytism. This is another reason why I never donate to religious charitable organisations. The Red Cross is always a better option and when it comes to regional disasters like this, you can always find non-religious charities to give your money to…
Every reasonable thinker must be able to say NO to proselytism which sometimes comes in a form of religious charity!
