GhanaCelebrities.Com reported earlier that allegations reaching us show another beauty pageant by name Miss Supranational Ghana could be doing something wrong to its contestants – who live in fear and timidity in a hotel they are housed at Weija for grooming.

To have a fair and balanced story, GhanaCelebrities.Com gave the organizers a chance to address the allegations but they failed to make good use of it. Instead, they insisted we disclose our source and how we got their numbers else they won’t respond.

Though we kindly gave the CEO of the company that organizes the pageant – Lilys House Entertainment, Madam Lillian Boateng, the chance to respond, she only traded tantrums on GhanaCelebrities.Com’s reporter. She failed to either confirm or deny the allegations.

In our professional quest to still have the side of the organizers for publication, GhanaCelebrities.Com visited the office of the organizers on Sunday, 27th July, 2014, but the reporter was nearly lynched.

UPDATE ON THE STORY

Since the allegations against the organizers are wild and borders on human right violations, GhanaCelebrities.Com exercised our civic responsibility by reporting the case to the police who have assured us that they shall clamp down on the organizers premises – not to harass them or intimidate them, but to seek explanations regarding the allegations against the organizers.

The police added that, if at the end of the day it becomes expedient for them to cause arrest, or seek a court injunction to stop the organizers from going on with the pageant, they shall do so.

The police commended GhanaCelebrities.Com for exercising such a civic responsibility but failed to tell us when exactly they shall be clamping down on the organizers.

Also, an insider has told us that after visiting their hotel, the organizers have warned the contestants not to respond to any media house – though we gathered some of the contestants are simply fed up with the whole show and wants to exit the pageant. But for sponsorship reasons, the organizers are keep them ‘locked’ in there…

Below are the ALLEGATIONS available to GhanaCelebrities.Com concerning Miss Supranational Ghana which the organizers have not either confirmed or denied.

line

First, the allegation has it that the organizers collected over 20 phones belonging to the latter but all the phones got lost. Though the contestants have continuously demanded for their phones, the organizers have paid deaf ears.

Secondly, the contestants are mostly served rice and stew and though they reported being fed up with it, the organizers claim rice and stew is what they can afford so the contestants should make do with that.

Contestants, who fail to eat the aforementioned delicacy, always use their own money to get other food of their choice as well as buy other basic necessities with their own monies.

Thirdly, some of the frustrated contestants have pleaded with the organizers to allow them exit the pageant but the organizers insist they stay till the end of the pageant—and we hear, this is to keep the sponsors on the dark side.

The allegations goes further to state that the organizers have not signed an official contractual agreement with the contestants – so when some of the contestants complained of leaving the house to tell their stories or test the law for injustice, the organizers said with confidence that nobody will believe them (contestants) because they have no contract with them.

The saddest allegation if true, is the daily scolding, tension, nervousness, and fear that the contestants go through each passing day.

Miss Supranational Ghana is organized by Lilys House Entertainment and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Viasat 1 Ghana, Cypress Ghana, 4syte TV, Foto store, Busy Internet & Sweeties Lounge.

GhanaCelebrities.Com continues with investigations on Miss Supranational Ghana pageant. Until then….MOTWUM!!
