Mzbel Reacts to Suggestions of Being Insensitive After Photos of Her on a Jet Ski in Ada Where Castro ‘DIED’ Surfaced Online…

Mzbel

Ghanaian musician Mzbel (real name Nana Ekua Amoah) is not one of the many Ghanaian celebrities who mostly blow your phone when an unfavourable publication about them hits the internet—therefore, when she called few minutes ago, I knew she had a good reason for wanting to react…

Yesterday, GhanaCelebrities.Com picked a PeaceFM publication which stated among other things that, Mzbel recently visited Ada-Aqua Safari Resort where Castro is alleged to have died (disappeared) with Janet Bandu few weeks ago.

While out there, Mzbel posed on a Jet Ski for the camera, photos taken were subsequently posted on social media—and that is where the publication and suggestions that she is being insensitive came from.

Explaining to GhanaCelebrities.Com, Mzbel said; indeed she visited Aqua Safari Resort in Ada but she was sent there by MUSIGA to meet some sponsors of an upcoming MUSIGA event.

“As the person in charge of Fund raising at MUSIGA, I was on an assignment at Aqua Safari Resort in Ada with my team on behalf of MUSIGA, and after our meeting, all the people decided to take some photos. Mostly, they were posing on the various Jet Skis which were parked. So it was not as if the Jet Skis were even on the water.” Mzbel said.

She continued “So everyone was asking that I should come and take a photo too which I initially objected but then, they kept insisting and I didn’t want people to say, I am too known so I joined in and took some shots too, just like everyone was doing”.

According to Mzbel, when she got back to Accra, she posted some of these photos with the below message which clearly highlights her sentiments on social media…

During the conversation with Mzbel, she mentioned that, she does not really understand why people are saying she is being insensitive, because when she visited Castro’s family with some group of musician friends a week after Castro’s disappearance—-they were told by Castro’s father that, no one should attempt to mourn Castro, because he is not dead.

Therefore, she does not understand the public outcry which suggests that instead of mourning her friend-Castro, she is out there posing for photos at a place where Castro is alleged to have died or disappeared.

Nana Ekua Amoah ended the phone call by saying, she did not intend to disrespect Castro or his family or come across as insensitive, so if anyone for whatever reason has been offended by her photos—she is deeply sorry.

In other news, someone has taken to social media to write an unpleasant message with a fake Mzbel account—and Mzbel wants to clear the air that, she did not write this message and she fully condemns this mischievous act.
