Black Stars Have Finally Received Their Cash | Photos & Video of Them Kissing Bundle of Cash

We know money does a lot of MAGIC but considering how much most of these players are paid, we did not expect them to act like a bunch of broke men having been given some cash—but reports say some did.

Ahead of Ghana vrs Portugal match tonight, Brazilian TV channel ‘Globo’ has published photos and videos of Ghana players being paid in Brasilia—and some of the players were seen kissing bundle of cash. Before that, the broadcast showed the monies being escorted by a police convey…

We heard yesterday that the Government of Ghana had airlifted 3 million dollar cash via a chartered plane to Brazil, to pay the players their appearances fees and bonuses, which has become a trending issue in the last few days.

Prior to this, the players had threatened to boycott the Ghana vrs Portugal World Cup match should they not receive their payments before the match—and had gone ahead to even boycott training sessions as an indicator of how serious and upset they are…

Finally, they’ve received their cash and they are set to play.

Interestingly, Coach Kwesi Appiah is reported to have said; “It’s not about being rewarded for anything. It’s all about the appearance fee, which any country pays its players. This has nothing to do with being a professional. Players are entitled to this. FIFA pays this money to the countries. Ghana then pays it to the players. Some of the players don’t have an account in Ghana, which is why they’re flying in cash.”

As to where the excited footballers will keep the cash, Christian Atsu is also reported to have stated that; they will keep the monies “in our (players) bags.” Is that safe in a world with so many ‘Italian jobbers’?
