My recent article titled “The Ghanaian Celebrity Lifestyle: First Class Travel, Expensive Bags, Exotic Holidays, Designer Wears—WHO IS PAYING FOR ALL THIS?” went viral and over the weekend, Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review looked at the piece as they attempted to answer what I think is a legitimate industry question.
Before the panel members-Halifax Ansah Addo (Editor of NewsOne), Mark Okraku Mantey (CEO of Slip Music) and James Oberku took the challenge to answer who is the financier(s) behind the expensive lifestyles most of our Ghanaian celebrities live, I was called by the host of the show-Kwasi Aboagye to establish the background of my article—and why I am asking the al important question.
After my submission, the panel members had a lot to say. Interesting, all of them sort of agreed that there is no way the income of these celebrities could sustain the lifestyles they are living or want us to believe they are living—therefore there is something going DOWN that they are hiding.
One of the panel members even went as far as mentioning the type of night business he has heard the female celebrities are into, which he believes must be where the expensive lifestyle money is coming from…
Apparently, behind closed doors, most people ask this same question and even state the dirty businesses that these celebrities—especially the female ones are involved in…But when outside, it is difficult to mention it.
Side Note: I have received several calls from Ghana, saying, Sandra Ankobiah went on ranting this morning on TV3, insulting my person and all the GC readers. That is beautiful. As a Voltaire-ian who lives by “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”, I understand freedom of speech and expression entails the right to to be offensive….

@kojo, am sure u patronise with the nite activities of these celebrities. These celebrities extravagant lifestyle is off the hook and it took a courageous blogger lyk chris 2 hit the nail on the head. Most bloggers or journalist as a whole know about these issue but for reasons known to them they are not puttin these celebrities into their place. A celebrity like yvonne okoro may afford such GLAMOROUS LIFESTYLE on her own but sam1 lyk sandra ankobea, i doubt. This even cam to play with who a celebrity is. Celebrities outside njoy a whole lot of free packages.Sam are being paid 2 show out in a nite club unlike gh where a celeb pays. Ghanaian celebs shud slow down.CHRIS big up

We all know they used their toto for their expensive living. Their new name should be totology meaning Ghanacelebrities open their legs for lavishing life styles. The Prince williams is a guy from by the fire side he used to act the snake and also featured in 2 or 3 movies. Very true while the young girls are banging their grandfather’s age mate, john and elikem are also doing the grannies for cash. These people are such a disgrace. The two girls are Joycelyn Dumas and Yvonne okoro. Yvonne introduced the man to Joycelyn as a friend and this man used Okoro and gave her the benz. Joycelyn was the face of the range rover vogue after selling one or 2 cars for him. The man gave her the range rover after heavy bangings which am sure the contract is still on. Okoro got jealous because she wanted more than her benz. Their great friendship came to an end. Both girls were so tight after featuring in Adams apple suddenly they both started envying eachother over the PHC motors deal. Okoro and Dumas were both sleeping with a married man. One of the guys was saying they shd stop putting designers bags on their social media for free advertising for the designers, Listen the designers already have famous stars like Madonna Angie Jolie Scarlett Johasson etc to advertise for them, what these designers do not like is these wannabe celebs putting fake products on their social media,cos we all agree that most of the LV/Chanel on their IG pages is fake.
