Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization GHAMRO, has dragged celebrated highlife musician Kofi B, for a threat the latter made to assault him for mismanaging GHAMRO.
Kofi B, out of anger in relation to the way Carlos is mismanaging GHAMRO in his opinion, said on Channel R’s ‘205 Total Entertainment’ last week Wednesday 14th May, 2014 that he will beat Carlos Sakyi. On Thursday, 15th May, 2015, Kofi B told Peace fm that he has received threatening calls with unknown numbers.
“Tweeaa!!! These death threats will not stop me from making sure that Carlos Sakyi and the entire GHAMRO board render accounts to musicians in Ghana. I’m going to be louder than before on this issue,” I’m going to be louder than before on this issue,” Kofi B told News-One.
Following up on the story, Kofi B has confirmed to GhanaCelebrities.Com that “Carlos has reported me to the Central Police Station for threatening his life. As we speak, I’m in a car; I’m in traffic rushing to the police station so they can hear my side of the story. A police man called me yesterday that they need me, so we will talk later after visiting the police.”
Contrary to the general doubt expressed by many people that Kofi B is only lying to the media about his alleged threat, because he once alleged same that some armed men attacked him in the past but he refused to report the case to the police, he told GhanaCelebrities.Com “why would I lie about something about my own life.
Those writers who are saying so, why don’t they call me or go to the police station where I made my report. I’ve reported the case to the Mile 7 police station! How can I lie about this when the Mile 7 police station can be visited by anyone for verification?”
When GhanaCelebrities.Com contacted Carlos Sakyi, he admitted of having reported Kofi B to the Central Police Station for threatening to assault him, but since the case is in the hands of the police “I will not pass any comment. I believe in the police and the law.”
