I am beginning to buy into the social media talk that celebrities all over the world are joining the #BringBackOurGirls for their own desire to grab media attention—and not necessarily doing so to help with the situation or create any sort of awareness.

I am not saying this because Ghanaian actress-Juliet Ibrahim has joined the placard holding celebrity photo syndrome but because of photos like the one below—- a pose by supermodel Irina Shayk, girlfriend of footballer star-Cristiano Ronaldo.

For me, several celebrities who do not even understand what is going on have jumped onto their social media accounts, taking all manner of photos, holding #BringBackOurGirls placards…
