Samsung Electronics West Africa has announced that their new Smartphone, the Galaxy Ace 3 as it is known in Africa is also known as the Galaxy Star Plus in some other countries outside the continent.
The clarification has been made to ensure consumers are properly informed and also to clear up any misunderstanding for customers who check the specifications of the Galaxy Ace 3 phone online and get features for a different product.
Director of Mobile at Samsung, Electronics West Africa, Mr. Jaspreet Singh, said that the Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7262) in Ghana is actually the globally known Galaxy Star Plus (GT-S7262). Samsung Offices in Africa have chosen not to use the name ‘Galaxy Star Pro’ as there is already the ‘Galaxy Star’ on the market. He explained that most internet search results on the Galaxy Ace 3 display another version which is the Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7272), which is available in other markets outside Africa. He therefore entreated customers to lookout for the Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7262) which is also known as the Galaxy Star Plus.
Jaspreet however assured the general public that the Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7262) which their authorized dealers are selling is an authentic Samsung Galaxy device which offers the same great features and amazing Smartphone experience as the internationally known Samsung Galaxy Star Plus.
He also reiterated that the Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7262) still offers consumers the 24 months warranty through Samsung e-warranty once the user registers by texting REG*IMEI NO. # and sends to 1453.
