I have interesting activities and meetings lined up with certain interesting people who are bringing their Ghanaian themed films to the 67 Cannes Film Festival. I will surely keep all of you updated on my activities out there and bring you first hand exclusives from the prestigious film festival.

Hey Guys,
Thanks to all those who have DONATED to support my 2014 Cannes Film Festival Long Stay appeal. I really appreciate the support.
If you have not donated yet and would want to do so, just read my appeal post below and chip in your little. Remember every little helps!
You can donate by using a Visa card/Master card/ America Express or PayPal. Alternatively you can drop me an email and let me know how much you want to donate and I will let someone pick the donation up for me—if in Ghana and do not have access to any of the above.
And for the good friends, donation is compulsory for you all so if you don’t I will call your names out. LOL
Yesterday, the Press Office of the 67th Cannes Film Festival granted me a journalist accreditation—per application, so I am definitely going to be there!
Last year, I attended the 66th Cannes Film Festival as the Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com—-partly sponsored by Ghana Movie Awards and GhanaCelebrities.Com.
Apart from the great experience and the fact that I made it onto the all-important Cannes red carpet alongside Captain Planet, Fred Nuamah, Hollywood actress-Zoe Saldana, Takao Osawa, Nanako Matsushima, Tatsuya Fujiwara, Rasaroi Dawson, Clive Owen, Marion Cotillard and other celebrities for the red carpet premiere of the movies- Blood Ties and Shield of Straw—I was able to write several first hand reports on activities at Cannes for the millions of GhanaCelebrities.Com and affiliated websites readers.
Click Here for the various publications I filed from the Cannes Film Festival last year
The prestigious Cannes Film Festival will return this year-15th May to 25th May and I will be attending for the purpose of obtaining first-hand information on activities out there—and be able to report on the activities of the various African celebrities who will also be attending.
I am aware several African celebrities are looking to attend the Film Festival this year but as history has shown, media focus on their activities out there has always been non-existing. We must tell our stories and give our stars the needed shine—or else, no one really cares.
The sponsorship package from Ghana Movie Awards and GhanaCelebrities.Com was enough for a 3 day stay at Cannes last year, which meant that I missed out the important opening ceremony and the closing ceremony.
I would love to report on these two events and if possible, report on activities at the event for all the 10 days it will run—-since it will be a wonderful experience, activities packed and worthy.
To be able to have such a long stay at Cannes and file the needed reports during the festival season is going to cost a lot—and that is why I have decided to launch this page for general sponsorship from everyone who wishes to make the above possible.
In fact, out of love for my Cannes’ publications last year, a friend suggested I consider this to see if I can raise enough funds to ensure a long stay this year so I can bring in more and more publications.
If you are reading this, chip in your little support to ensure that you get first hand and exclusive updates on activities at the event, especially on our African celebrities.
If nothing at all, I will definitely not forget to mention you in my Thank You message (as if that is enough for your money though).
I know they say most Africans are ‘tight’ with their money but I am about to prove to those holding this misconception that we can also donate to support things we wish for them to happen.
***Thanks for reading and extra thanks if you’ve donated! (Corporate sponsorship is also welcome)
You can Donate by using a paypal account or debit card or credit card…
***Remember it is a donation so whatever you can afford will be appreciated! Every little counts… 🙂
Check out some photos from last year’s Cannes appearance…
After the movie premiere, we decided to grab some food before heading to our hotel-Night life at Cannes is splendid! No wonder prostitutes out here makes as much as £40,000 a night…

FYI: It is Rosario Dawson. If you are going to brag about “hanging out” with a celebrity at least double check their name if you want to give the public the pretense you know who that person is. After so many write ups about your trip to Cannes you seem to have no clue who even Rosario Dawson is and you haven’t bother to correct your initial error on her name after your numerous publications on the same said event. If you want people to take you seriously as a “journalist” then please attention to such things (because they do matter in the “real” world).
I don’t think I want to brag about ‘hanging’ out with a celebrity and has it occurred to you that certain paragraphs were auto generated from the initial publication? And if spelling a name wrongly made someone not a serious journalist or anything, I guess my professor should be kicked out as head of department since all my years in University, he got my name wrong—-spelling and mentioning…
I am sure there are nearly 1000 words in the above article, one is spelt wrong and that does not make someone a serious journalist?….SERIOUSLY? The Cannes Film Festival Press Office assessed my work, profile and have seen me as a ‘serious journalist’ that meets their international standard to grant me one of their very scare accreditation—and I think that is enough for me and the others 🙂
