On the 31st day of January, 2013, the much anticipated movie titled “Announcement” was premiered. It featured Kafui Danku, Fred Amugi, Doris Sackitey, Adjetey Anang and others…
After the premiere, GhanaCelebrities.Com had an exclusive interview with ace actors, David Dontoh, and Adjetey Anang, who all happened to be cast in the movie and sought for their judgment on the movie.
According to Mr Dontoh, it was very interesting working with Evelyn Robinson (Director). He described her as someone who was professional in terms of her work and someone who really knew what she wanted. “These are the kind of people you can work with”, said Mr Dontoh.
Even though he described his role as a small part, he believes there is nothing like a major or minor parts. To him, the smallest role can become the biggest in a movie, and vice versa.
When asked to rate the movie on a scale of 1 – 10, David Dontoh opted for 8. His reason for rating the movie 8 over 10 was very simple.

As he put it, for a first-timer to actually direct and produce such an amazing movie, it would be fair to give her 8.
With the likes of Leila Djansi and Shirley Frimpong-Manso, Adjetey Anang believes Evelyn Robinson, as a female, has something great to offer to the movie industry. He described his working relationship with her as refreshing and exciting.
According to him, he was a bit cautious when he was given the role to play as a priest due to the sensitivity of that position and also the subject matter.
He decided to take up the challenge in order to point out to Ghanaians that, such ones are not super humans. They are men who can go wrong, and if they go wrong, how do the society react to it?
Unlike David Dontoh who rated the movie 8 over 10, Adjetey Anang rated it 7. This should tell you ‘Announcement’ is a must watch movie.
