The 2014 Oscar nominations have been announced with American Hustle and space movie Gravity leading this year’s Oscar nominations with 10 nods each.
12 Years a Slave landed nine nominations in total, including a best director nod for British director Steve McQueen.
This year’s Academy Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, March 2 on ABC and will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres…

They didnt nominate Idris Elba, that so foul, am keeping my fingers crossed for Lupita to win best supporting actress.
Although Idris was great in his role as Mandela as a regular movie goer I can say he didnt deserve a nomination compared to those who were actually nominated, there were some fantastic performances this year. Just take a look at 12 years a slave’s Chiwetel, Bruce Dern’s Nebraska & Matthew McConaughey’s Dallas Buyers Club and of course Leonardo’s role too. They killed it
Am sorry but Bruce Dern’s perfomance in Nebraska wasnt as powerful as Idris as Mandela in Long walk to freedom, he murdered the role.
