We all understand the law is complex and most lawyers do not help—rather, they make things seem out of the world.  But who will not know that, finalizing a divorce would terminate a marriage?

A British woman- Jane Mulcahy has attempted to sue her former lawyers for professional negligence claiming they failed to properly explain to her that getting a divorce would end her marriage.

According to Jane Mulcahy, her solicitors failed to advise her that finalising divorce proceedings would officially end her marriage. Jane argued that her lawyers should have clearly explained that a divorce would terminate her marriage.

Jane Mulcahy’s claims against two separate firms of solicitors, had already been rejected by the court, but she subsequently appealed against the dismissal of certain aspects of the case.
