A Northern Affair, the multiple award winning movie directed by Leila Djansi was premiered on Friday, the 3rd of December 2014 at the National Theater. Movie lovers from all over thronged the venue to watch the movie that picked numerous awards at the 4th Ghana Movie Awards.
Before the premiere, GhanaCelebrities.Com spoke to one of the audience and he said, “I wanted to watch the movie because it got so many awards. I want to see what it is all about”.
The movie stars Joselyn Dumas, who plays the lead role ‘Esaba’, John Dumelo, Beverly AFaglo and Jon Germain.

Everybody that bought a ticket was also given a copy of Ties that Bind, another Leila Djensi movie.
The Plot
The movie follows the story of ‘Esaba’ a beautiful and attractive nurse who takes up an appointment to work in a remote village. With a shortage of accommodation in the village, she has to share a house with the village Doctor, who is not too pleased about Esaba’s looks. He thinks she might distract him from carrying out his duties.
Sparks start flying off the wall as there is a strong attraction between them. They develop intense feelings towards each other. However it’s not all fireworks as it turns out they are both harbouring secrets about their past that could very well damage their relationship.
Will their love be strong enough to take them through the chaos of their past?

The resounding clap from the audience after the movie portrayed how highly satisfied they were with the movie. They truly got their money’s worth.
An excited movie enthusiast who had come to watch the movie said ‘’this is one of the best Ghanaian movie I have watched. The acting was so natural as compared to the over dramatization in other local movies’’.
Turn Out
The National Theater was packed to the maximum for the first show even though there was going to be a second showings.
