Apart from his legacy having been able to pull world leaders together in Soweto, the handshake that took place between the leaders of the two Cold War enemies-USA and Cuba shows the power of Mandela’s legacy of reconciliation.

For President Obama to shake President-Raul Castro and even go ahead to shake  Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, who has clashed with him over alleged National Security Agency spying—and all taking place at Mandela’s Memorial Service, we should be proud Mandela lived in our era…
