Social Networking site-Facebook has replaced its Hide All button with an ‘Unfollow’ button, which allows users to block all messages and posts from selected friends.
If you do not want to offend your friends by ‘de-friending’ them and yet you do not want to see their numerous posts and absurd photos, the ‘Unfollow’ button is your right tool—it gives you the option of blocking content from certain people without offending them…
Explaining how the ‘Unfollow’ button works, Facebook told Reuters that; unfollowing means ‘you are still friends, but updates from that person won’t appear in your News Feed. The goal of this change is to help people curate their newsfeed and see more of the content that they care about’.
Facebook began rolling out the ‘Unfollow’ button and a related change to its users on Monday. It added a ‘Following’ button next to the usual ‘Like’ button on a page or next to the ‘Friends’ button on a personal timeline, which will also enable users to block posts.
If one of your friends is getting on your nerves with photos or posts you do not want to see, Facebook has the right tool for you to avoid seeing them—just unfollow the perosn and the person will not even know you’ve done so.
