WHEN THE CHEQUE GETS BLOWN BY THE WIND: Did Bad Publicity, Allegations Of Weed Smoking & Lesbianism Contribute To The Reasons Why GLO Failed To Renew Efya’s Contract?

Efya

It has emerged that telecommunication giant-GLO has refused to renew their endorsement deal with Ghanaian songstress-Efya, realname Jane Awindor. And without the reasons having been publicly cited, we’ve decided to look at what could have contributed to this…

First of all, we must acknowledge that in the world of entertainment, endorsement deals can not be undermined—serving as the highest money fetching avenue for celebrities all around the world.

It is therefore not shocking that celebrities go to unimaginable extent to keep such deals and seek new ones—except if you are Efya who may not be bothered…

Efya’s manager has tried to brush off Glo’s failure to renew his artiste’s contract, stating that, they are not eager on GLO’s deal despite the fact that the company has failed  to renew Efya’s contract which is reported to have expired in October (listen to the audio below)…

On the balance of probabilities, we think there is more behind the veil, far more than Efya’s manager has revealed…

The question is; could the bad publicity, allegations of weed smoking and lesbianism scandals that knocked Efya in recent months have contributed to why GLO has decided to ditch Efya as a brand ambassador?

Until our calls lead us to the deeper side of what the issue is with GLO and Efya, we can confidently say; Efya is no more a GLO ambassador—and that is thousands of dollars gone with the wind.
