When I was in secondary school (now you know some of us are old when we say secondary school instead of high school). Anyway like I was saying, when I was in secondary school, my teacher said to us; “Ladies, make sure you marry the right person. Someone who deserves you just as much as you deserve them. Don’t go and end up with a man who you cannot introduce in a room of elites——a man you cannot even point, you just nod your head in the direction of a group and say-the one over there” hahahaha!
We laughed at this most definitely because it was a joke then. But not anymore.
Fast forward to 2013 and most if the ladies in that class are getting married.
Some of us sit back and giggle when they introduce their husbands. We do understand and respect everyone’s choice. Please do not get me wrong but also understand and accept the disadvantages that come with your choice. If you end up with a good looking man who has a good job and is very intelligent, well my lady, you hit the jackpot! Consider yourself lucky.
If you choose smarts over looks, it is not a bad option either. Just be ready for the monkey face jokes. Now if you choose looks over smarts, then I mean you!
So you go for a gathering of intellectuals with your darling husband and you are afraid to leave him alone in the company of your friends, co-workers, family and others because when he opens his mouth and talks five sentences, everybody will look at you differently.
Kindly understand that I use idiot with humour.
Gentle, hilarious, amusing humour! Because that is what your husband has become. A humorous side attraction. When the group is talking about the economy or international politics or even a simple legal matter that the whole world knows about, he cannot form a grammatically correct sentence to contribute or he will contribute with wrong grammar and a fickle idea like hey guys, did you watch that new Azonto video released last week?
Or he will be introduced to a senator and he will ask the senator; “so Mr Senator, what work do you do?”
This also applies to men who marry dunces for whatever reasons. All of your choices and reasons are awesome and understood but I ask, “Are you married to an idiot?”

hahahahhahahahhaah…. it is not lame at all if your really understand what he is talking about…. a lot of peer pressure going on… not that I will like to laugh to people’s choices (they know what they are getting) , but back in sec school days (not high school), we had very very boastful people, very selective, quick to laugh at you even because you go to SU… today, these people, if you see the choices they made and what they claim they have become – holy ghost humans….. you will marvel… you will say, did they really remember themselves back then?
