Though Ghanaian actress- Salma Mumin says she is not bleaching (we are yet to find anyone who is doing it and will be confident enough to accept it), backed by photo evidence, we think she is deep into bleaching/lightening her skin…
In March 2013, GhanaCelebrities.Com highlighted how much she has changed in complexion over a short period—courtesy whatever she is using…
She has been talking a lot, denying she is bleaching—-in the face of contrary photo evidence. But since most of them are doing it, what did we expect?
Let her bleach, it is her skin—some people will say and that is exactly what we intend to do.
However, Salma Mumin has mentioned in an interview with Graphic Showbiz that ‘I admit being light skinned is nice because it gives you some confidence but bleaching is not good because of the damage it causes the skin. Moreover I don’t need to be light skinned to get roles. I know my capabilities and movie makers I have worked with can attest to that’
The question is; does being light skinned give you any sort confidence advantage over dark skinned people? Is she right or is she just being ignorant?
What do you know or think of the above statement?
Check below for how much Salma Mumin has changed over the years…
its stupidity. if you’re confident, u are confident. it isnt because of ur skin color. i think its low self esteem that pushes people male or female to wanna bleach their skin. what she has is sickness…
well nasara of Ghana’s most beautiful fame confidently says she is bleaching cos there are better creams out there now to prevent the skin from deterioration and if anyone is willing she will name better creams out there to help bleaching aspirants. She was on delays show.
@frog, dat lady is shameless! After her theft incident, she knew there was no reputation left to protect, she can do whatever she wants, nobody respects her anyway
Shes pathetic and stupid as such. Pure ignorance. We all know shes bleacing so if u not gona admit it please sit your ass down. What confidence does bleaching give you. Uneducted individual. Bleaching or no, shes still ugly. And as for the celebrity she wishes to date we all know samini fucked her and dumped her.
Bleaching rather makes u lose respect, and no matter how good the cream is,u can always tell the difference between naturaly light skin and an excessively bleached skin.they forget to bleach their scalp,it always gives them away…lol
Ignorance at it’s highest level.
pure insecurity
This is pure ignorance. Inferiority complex issues at its highest point. Some of us have dark or brown skin because we have melanin in full, a biological living light and key to life. Other races wish they had it in full because they understand what it is and Its capabilities. We absorb the sun or infact actually eat the sun cause it is transffered through the neuro transmitters in the nerves to the liver, which then converts it into vitamin D2. So as we walk in the sun we creating energy. Michael Jackson lost his natural skin colour and started using umbrella to shield the suns rays. So bleaching isn’t the way for us. Peopl Google Melanin chemical key to life and see for yourself.
Did she just say it gives u confidence.. then i guess Genevieve Nnaji has no confidence then… even with this bleached skin of so many of our actresses they still can’t get to Nnaji’s level when it comes to confidence on screen.. smh..pity. ANd we say the white man is the sole source of our problems. Black man with bleached mind problems..lol
Is this a celebrity in Ghana, dont u people encourage some low memory individuals on this site, people like this dont deserve to be on tv screen.
Thank you degraft. Smh. Only in ghana such nonsense is encourages
Thank you degraft. Smh. Only in ghana such nonsense is emcourage.
Wow. Its a pity to read this in dis modern era. Being light skinned as nothing to do with beauty. I ve seen dark skinned ladies who re pretty wit a lot of confidence.shame on her.no wonder her name is so lost in the movie industry
@Roland, welcome bro, am getting tired of this people calling themslf celebrities, i think celebrities can also be a role model for somebody and this is how a role model talking, who made such a shallow minded a celebrity in our lovely Ghana, is time to clean up this industry, so deserve to be in the bin.
I wonder how we worry so much over light n dark skin…..the white man sees us all as the same. So let’s stop this …….pity her anyway,,,,
N 1 thing is she shld stop wearing long eye lashes. She looks ugly wit them on. Kaaii. She Looks fake wit dat long thing on
All I see is a beautiful woman. She doesn’t look bleached to me though.
I however disagree with her point on light skin and confidence.
