For the past years, the organizers of Miss Universe Ghana have done nothing except to put the event’s winners and contestants through hell.
Yet each year, new set of young women parade themselves to compete for the Miss Universe Ghana title, knowing how ‘corrupt’ the organizers are—-and how they’ve never been able to honour the numerous prize promises they put out.
Few months ago, Miss Universe Ghana 2012-Gifty Ofori was shockingly stripped off her title following her various media speak-out about the organizers failure to give her the various stated prizes.
Insignia Group, one of the organizing company of Miss Universe Ghana stated at the time that, the decision to strip Gifty off her title was necessitated by several interviews she granted the media that she has not received her prizes which to them violates the pageant’s laws.
Gifty Ofori is not the first to have been badly treated by the Miss Universe Organizers who seem more like a bunch of oldies preying on the desperation of young girls.
Today, Hanniel Jamin, 19, winner of Miss Universe-2013 is in the news—crying out the various challenges she is having with organizers, including the fact that she may not be representing Ghana at the world version of the event in Russia on 9th November.
