Ghana Is Almost At Brazil 2014: Ghana 6-1 Egypt

Ghana Asamoah Gyan

The return of Olele must surely have some good luck, probably the immortal charm did the magic today from the bench!

Ghana Black Star has beaten the Pharaohs of Egypt by 6 goals to 1, pushing Ghana to the edge of qualifying for World Cup 2014 in Brazil…

At the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi today, Captain Asamoah Gyan pushed for a goal in the 5th minute to put Ghana in the lead against Egypt.

This was followed by an own-goal from the Egyptian veteran defender Gomah in the 22nd minute, which brought out the best in the Ghanaian players—-thereafter.

Egypt’s Mohammed Abou Trika scored in the 40th minute to pull his side back into the game but Ghana’s Majeed Waris rendered his struggle pretty useless by adding a 3rd goal for Ghana.

After the first half, Baby Jet did it once more by scoring once more for Ghana to make it 4 for Ghana, 1 for Egypt.

As if that was not enough for Ghana and enough of a disgrace for Egypt, Sulley Ali Muntari wouldn’t go home without his name on the score sheet—-and he perfectly earned that in the 72nd minute, making it 5 for the Black Stars.

Substitute Christian Atsu brought some sort of energy into the game and closed the score sheet with another goal—-putting Ghana far ahead of Egypt…

The match which ended as Ghana 6-1 Egypt was more than fun to watch—-The Black Stars have today made Ghana proud!

And they surely deserve the $15,000 winning bonus—including Olele who brought the good luck!   🙂

  1. I’m starting to doubt Olele age now, Egypt should blame this heavy loss on their captain’s (Wael Gomaa) bald head. Out here looking like roll-on deodorant.
