Samsung Electronics Africa continually strives to provide customers with more options to suit every lifestyle and this commitment is further reiterated by the evolution of Samsung’s value added eco-system – designed to give their consumers more option, more choice and more lifestyle value enhancements.
“We understand that customer purchases are driven by a number of elements, of which value and future viability plays a large role,” says Jaspreet Singh, Business Leader for Handheld Products at Samsung Ghana. “As such, to ensure that our customers continue to receive premium services, choice and options on top of their premium Samsung device, we have introduced additional services for consumers to design their life.”
Design a Healthy Life
“Samsung aims to become a global healthcare leader by bringing together its expertise in electronics and IT technologies for an improved and more complete healthcare experience. And today, we continue our momentum as we launch our Smart Health App – an evolution in mobile health,” adds Jaspreet. The App, endorsed by the United Nation’s Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria will enable consumers to not only educate themselves around these diseases, but to identify symptoms, high risk areas as well as precautionary measures and medication that can be taken when travelling into those areas in Africa.
Design a Worry Free Life
“At Samsung we are all about creating a smarter lifestyle and one area that we are consistently focused on is service and creating a worry-free environment for our customers so that they have every confidence that their purchase and investment is protected,” adds Jaspreet.
Samsung have listened to the market and to ensure that they continue to drive innovation, choice and value to their consumers, they have created an ecosystem focused on ensuring the future viability of their customers’ investment, premium service and security – Samsung Premium. Samsung Premium for Note III will be launching in Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal and Namibia and will include the following:
- ADH Premium – is an enhancement to the current ADH offering – giving customers an additional Smart Swop service. Smart Swop is an elite service for Note III consumers which allows users to use the ADH premise but instead of two repair claims over the 24 month period, the consumer will get two instant swop outs over the period. If the consumer does not claim or only claims once within the 12 months and takes up the Smart Value offer, the balance of the ADH Premium will carry over to the next purchased premium device where applicable.
- Smart Value – In a first for market from a manufacturing level, consumers who purchase a Samsung GALAXY Note III will be able to take advantage of Samsung’s Smart Value initiative where Samsung will guarantee the future value of the device by up to 25% between 1 – 12 months – to be used on the purchase of their next premium GALAXY device. Customers who purchase the Note III will be able to get 25% back in 12 months, 15% back between 13 – 23 months or 10% back in 24 months onwards – meaning that they can keep up with the mobile trends on the latest Samsung devices with minimal additional investment.
- VIP Note III dedicated call centre – to continue to offer premium service to customers, a dedicated call centre will be set up for GALAXY Note III users, where should they have any problems or concerns they can call their regional call centre to assist with their claim or queries.
Design an Entertained Life
Samsung is aggressively creating and providing localised African content, services and apps for smartphone and tablet users – in turn contributing to the enrichment of the local software ecosystem. In line with Samsung’s continuous innovations in meeting the demands of a variety of consumers and ensuring they remain locally relevant in bringing new and exciting content and initiatives to market in music, sport, video on demand and fashion. As an extension of this, Samsung have also announced their sponsorship of African Fashion International.
Design a Connected Life
“We are focused on driving consumer experiences based on choice, value and customization to suit every lifestyle. As such, bringing an additional messaging service into our already diverse Messaging Hub is just another way that we are providing our customers with a more integrated lifestyle experience and powerful new ways of communicating and sharing. It’s really about giving the African market what they want – and what they want is choice,” said Jaspreet. Today Samsung offers ChatOn, WeChat, WhatsApp and BBM as part of their connected Messaging Hub.
“We are always looking at new and innovative ways to ensure our customers have not only the very best in technology, but certainly the value-adds that accompany such premium devices – and these initiatives are an expansion of this – driving consumer experiences based on choice and value – now and into the future,” concludes Jaspreet.
