Last weekend, I rushed out of Cape Coast to Alisa Hotel in Accra to attend Herty Borngreat’s ‘Be My Guest’ concert—and it was worth it.
Hosted by George Quaye popularly known as Aboagye of Taxi Driver fame, the Gospel Extravaganza got patrons dancing throughout the hours that were spent at the Alisa Hotel Auditorium.
Herty Borngreat who I prefer to call the Gospel musician with a modern holy ‘Swagg’ mounted the stage several times and with the help of her backing singers, she got everyone excited.
Those of us who do not like the traditional ‘unmoving’ Gospel music had a lot to enjoy as the singer managed to get us off our chairs with her various hit songs like-Christo Azonto-Ayeyi Asa.
The night which saw Gospel legends such as Tagoe Sisters, Nobel Nketia and Mary Ghansah joining Herty to thrill fans was full of other exciting activities.
Apart from the fun Bible Quiz which caught the attention of all the attendees with the host- George Quaye and contestants throwing humour into the air, Herty Borngreat also premiered her new music videos for her songs-‘Except Baba’ and ‘Stronger’ which were shot with a RED camera.
These two videos made history as the first Gospel music videos to have been shot with a RED camera in Ghana—this should also tell you why we say Herty is redefining Gospel music in Ghana.
If you’ve never seen Herty Borngreat’s live performance before, make time to attend her next concert as she is full of energy—and I do not have to repeat the fact that she has the ‘swagg’ needed to get you off your feet.

I can see this lady pays a lot for publicity but I’m yet to like any of her songs. She should focus on that too.
