…And I agree with him. Rape cases are on the increase. Fathers raping daughters, sons raping their mothers and young men raping minors – very disheartening cases.
Jailing rapists is unfortunately not helping matters because it is a deterrent for other would-be rapists. If a hand causes a person to steal more often, it makes sense to chop the hands off so if a man’s third leg is always landing him into trouble as well as taking the life of a minor, he needs to be castrated. After castration, they can be jailed them with hard labour.
President Robert Mugabe has said the government must introduce stiffer penalties for rape and suggested castration for child rapists, insisting tougher action was needed to curb what he described as a rampant problem.
Speaking after the official opening of Parliament on Tuesday, Mugabe expressed concern over increasing cases of adults abusing minors, in some cases supposedly after being advised by traditional healers that this would help cure illnesses or bring wealth.
“We are going to make it very, very tough for you. No molestation of youngsters, no molestation of women.”
Mugabe said it was time to consider tougher sentences adding he was open to the introduction of castration for rapists. We are going to increase sentences” he said.
“In the past there was death for rape. Death no, it’s inhuman, it dehumanises a person,’
“An eye for an eye. Not in that way, and the person remains alive. But that which makes him rape, must go.”
What about women who also ‘rape’ (there are women who sexually abuse men)….hmmm, I think they should chop their bits off and ‘ginger’ the fresh wound, then jail them…
Eeeeeeiiiiii , Chris Vincent!!!
Hehehehehe…this makes sense. Real men don’t rape.
Ei ginger paa. that will be worse than castrating the men.
