I will not spend my time writing a review on the Ghana Music Awards Europe 2013 which took place on Friday at the Indigo2 in London, because it is not worth a minute of my time and yours…
If you want to know how the event went down, just think about the following…
- None of the advertised artistes performed or showed up on stage.
- The event started at 1am with Ghana’s national anthem
- My 7-year old little cousin’s recent birthday’s stage design was better than Ghana Music Awards 2013’s stage design
- Patrons were utterly upset and continued to hoot the host-DJ Abrantee and the organizers
- None of the winners of the awards was there to receive any of the statuettes
- Patrons realized they’ve been scammed and mostly screamed ‘Day Time Robbery’.
- Nana Ama McBrown tried to help by performing but when she realized she is not Jesus Christ, she vanished into thin air.
- Most of the nominees’ videos played on the big screen without any sound
- Everyone was UPSET
- Patrons would have obtained a higher satisfaction if they just sat home and dropped their money into the fire to burn. At least they would have seen the flames—a reaction!
