At a press conference which took place in Malaysia, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho refers to midfielder Michael Essien as “my son”…
Essien who smiled and conceded that he was having a few “difficulties” at Chelsea last year, mention that he was pleased when “daddy” called to ask him to move on loan to Real Madrid, where Mourinho was in charge.
The Ghanaian football star added that he “really enjoyed” his time with Madrid but is “very happy to be back at Chelsea”.
It looks like Essien and Mourinho do not just have great working relationship, they also have an interesting off work friendship.
