BET Awards is currently the hippest and probably the hoppest music award ceremony on the world music calender. And last night, stars from all over the world met in Los Angeles for the 2013 BET Awards Ceremony.

Newest talent Kendrick Lamar was the night’s big winner, taking home the new artist and male hip hop artist awards.

For the Best International Act-Africa, Nigeria’s Ice Prince managed to beat 2Face Idibia (Nigeria), Radio and Weasel (Uganda), Toya Delazy (South Africa) , Donald (South Africa) and R2Bees (Ghana) to take home the award.

The event was hosted by Chris Tucker.
