Love conquers all – except a viewer vote – as lovebirds Koketso and LK4 discovered when they were evicted from Big Brother: The Chase on Sunday night.
Following Monday’s nominations, Diamonds Feza, Hakeem & Dillish found themselves up for eviction alongside Rubies, Koketso & LK4. After the SizweNtsalubaGobodo auditor had delivered the verified voting results on Sunday night’s show, LK4 was the first to leave – but didn’t have to wait too long to be reunited with Koketso, as she was evicted next.
Just before the evictions happened, the Heads of House had to reveal their ‘save & replace’ decisions. Diamond Head of House Betty revealed she had saved Bolt because he’s fun to be around and replaced him with Feza. Emotional Ruby Head of House Selly revealed that she had saved Biguesas and replaced him with Koketso.
LK4 burst onto the stage, shortly after his eviction announcement and told IK that his strategy had evolved into something else as his relationship with Koketso blossomed. Once Koketso joined him, she was coy on the future of their relationship outside the house, adopting a ‘wait and see’ attitude.
Big Brother then decided to play a trick on the housemates this week, making them believe there was a third house in play – the Emerald house. It’s just part of the game, to keep them guessing!
Entertainment for the evening included two performances by Kenya’s own Victoria Kimani singing her massive hit ‘Mtoto’ and later, ‘Oya’.
New Media guru Boity Thulo also reminded viewers about VIP membership, only available on www.bigbrotherafrica.com , which allows access to exclusive footage, including ‘Shower Hour’.
Viewers also got a chance to hear from last week’s evicted housemates. Denzel said that he had entered Big Brother: The Chase because he thought it would be a challenge and thought he would have fitted in better in the Diamond house. Huddah revealed that if she had another chance, she’d embrace The Chase and be more open about her feelings.
Earlier in the week, Housemate’s had an eventful time at the Airtel Arena Showdown with the Ruby housemates winning the week’s showdown, meaning that Head of House Selly could switch 2 Ruby housemates with 2 Diamonds. She chose Angelo and Elikem to join the Rubies – sending Beverly & Biguesas the other way.
This week’s first ‘Crush Wall’ vote saw Hakeem get the most votes from Diamond and Ruby housemates and invite Cleo to join him in the ‘Rendezvous Room’ for a bit of quality time. Hakeem also won the viewer vote for last week’s most romantic gesture for the way he asked Cleo out, which will see him entered into the competition for a special prize at the end of the show. This week, viewers can choose between (A) LK4 giving Koketso a piggyback ride, (B) Koketso feeding LK4 strawberries & cream, and (C) Betty’s bit of TLC. Viewers can vote via Twitter (with #BigBroAfrica or #BBATheChase) or on the Facebook app choosing ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’. Voting started immediately after the live show and closes Monday at 20:00 CAT.
This week’s viewer vote winners were: Uhuru Tablet Tumi Maila (South Africa); HD PVR – Theofridah Christian (Tanzania) and DStv Walka – Yvonne Sampson (Namibia).
Vote to keep your favourite housemate in the game after Monday’s nominations to stand a chance to win!
The winner of Big Brother: The Chase will be named after 91 days, with the power to award to USD 300 000 prize resting completely in the hands of the viewers.
