The 66th Cannes Film Festival closed today with a glamour closing red carpet ceremony and a screening of the South African thriller-Zulu.
The final film of the festival Zulu, stars academy award-winner Forest Whitaker who turns in a solid performance as a cop searching for the murderer of a white teenager in the movie ‘Zulu,’ a violent and often shocking portrayal of South African gang culture where traces of apartheid still linger.
The closing red carpet ceremony was stolen by Kill Bill star-actress Uma Thurman, 43, who wore a classic Hollywood gown on the red carpet.
Actress Nicole Kidman, 45, who is on the jury made a fab appearance with the Jury’s president- Steven Spielberg and other members, wearing a floor-length gown with sparkling silver detail.
Also at the closing ceremony were Forest Whitaker, Sylvie Tellier and several other celebrities.
The 66th Cannes Film Festival started on 15th May, 2013 and ended today.
This year, Ghana’s showbiz personalities-Fred Numuah, Captain Planet of 4×4 fame, actor-Prince David Osei and ‘myself’ had the opportunity to be part of the prestigious film festival.
