On Friday, Bola Ray celebrated ten years of being with being at Joy FM. He moved from one radio; Top Radio to Joy FM both at Kokomlemle and the rest they say is history.
To do the same things for a decade means you have to have ‘mad’ love and passion for it and that’s something I saw in Bola Ray – he has passion for radio which has seen him grow to this level.
To mark a decade of driving the listeners of the Super Station Joy 99.7 FM in the city, Bola Ray welcomed the finest of Ghanaian musicians live on his show-Drive Time as each of them paid their tribute to the man who has been a great help to their musical journey.
Artistes such as R2Bees, Stonebwoy, Cris Waddle, Akoo Nana now known as Nahna, Asem, Richie and D-Black passed through the studio with the last two doing a remix of D-Black’s Vera song: “Oh Bola ibi we wey you help like that, oh Bola.”
They each performance an acapella of one of their hit song and thanked him for his help over the years. The listeners were not left out of the celebrations, GHC20,000 worth of airtime from MTN, Vodafone, Airtel, Tigo, Glo were shared among lucky callers.
For a man who is generous and has been a blessing to the lives of many, he was presented with a two bedroom house by Blue Rose Limited, a Real Estate Developers to congratulate him for his feat on radio.
He thanked them and said God has bless him and his family so he has handed the house to the management of Joy FM, so the company will do a raffle for any of the listeners to win.
That was not all. The party was moved from the studio to the forecourt of the station, where the real party continued with more to drink and more to chew.
In the evening the party continued at the Excel Lounge Night Club with the likes of Banky W, Wizkid, Samini, Jackie Appiah, StoneBwoy, R2Bees, Jupita, Ekow Smith Asante among others.
Join us to say congratulations to Bola Ray, real name Kwabena Anokye Adisi.
