PHOTOS: Fans Mob Prince David Osei In Nigeria

Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei received a thunderous applause from a heavy crowd that had gathered outside the Glory Hall Cultural Centre, the venue for the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards last weekend.

Immediately the actor stepped on the red carpet at the venue in Bayelsa State capital, Yenagoa, Nigeria, the actor had his name on the lips of everyone.

Preceding the name calling, the crowd made a massive scream; this made everybody gaze their attention to his direction. The crowd cheered the actor throughout his interview on the red carpet.

The award winning Ghanaian actor became very popular in Nigeria when he featured in a popular TV series ‘About to Wed. It also featured Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo.

The actor shared his experience to GhanaCelebrities.Com;

“I understand I have a large fan base in Nigeria due to ‘About to Wed’ and the movies that I do but I was completely blown away standing on the red carpet at Bayelsa and the screaming and the boisterous noise.”

He said “The funny thing was that, it continues, they kept cheering at me, screaming my name Prince David, the Ghana boy, it was awesome”

The cheering and the noise were deafening that, the President of the Nigeria Actors’ Guild Ibinabo Fiberesima said “That must be RMD”, David told GhanaCelebrities.Com.

GhanaCelebrities.Com observed that immediately the crowd and media men realized it was the ‘About To Wed’ star, everybody rushed to him for interviews and photo-shots. This created a little disturbance between the security, the media men and the fans on the red carpet.
