Are we safe? I keep wondering how these young boys live to see the next day on the streets of London… RIP Derek Boateng !
Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones…
And I know that bus (393) so well…Hmmmmm!
MailOnline Reports;
A murder hunt has been launched after a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed on a bus died in hospital.
Derek Boateng was knifed seconds after boarding a 393 bus on Highbury New Park, north London, at around 3pm on Monday.
Police say the boy, who has three older sisters, was attacked following a row with another teenager. It was the fifth stabbing of a teenager in London in the past four days.
The London Air Ambulance landed on Highbury Grove School’s Astro Turf pitch and airlifted the teenager to hospital in east London where he died yesterday.
Today, his devastated sisters paid tribute to the little brother they described as ‘always laughing’ and revealed his birthday presents are still lying unopened at the family home in nearby Hackney.
Derek’s oldest sister Gifty, 29, said he was ‘best brother in the world.
She told the Evening Standard: ‘I could not have had a better brother.’
Earlier, she told how Derek was doing his GCSEs and wanted to be an engineer.
He said: ‘He just fixes stuff, like things you can’t figure out he comes to do.
‘He paints and plays the drums – he was very artistic. He had a lot of friends and knew a lot of people around the area and had friends from primary school still. We are completely devastated and still in shock.’
Another of his siblings, Linda, 25, said: ‘All we know is that he was on a bus by himself. He normally gets the train.
‘From what we know, he was going to meet his friend at Highbury Grove when it happened.
‘He was always laughing, everything was a joke. You can’t even tell him off because he just started laughing at you.
‘He was stabbed on his birthday on the 23rd and died the day after. He was coming home to his presents, he hadn’t even opened them yet.’
She added: ‘You hear about this sort of thing all the time and never think this is going to come to you.
‘Knives are for the kitchen. Put the knives away, just concentrate on your education. They have left the family very devastated.
‘I don’t think they understand what they are doing. The guy who did it is probably really scared because they don’t understand what they have done.
‘It’s ridiculous. Killing someone and going back to your group doesn’t make you cool.’
More than 2,000 people have paid tribute on Facebook to a murdered teenager who died the day after being stabbed on his sixteenth birthday.
Derek Boateng, who wanted to be an engineer, was fatally stabbed on a 393 bus on Tuesday afternoon. He died in hospital last night.
And now more than 2,700 people have flooded a tribute page set up for the tragic youngster – known as Ddot – on Facebook.
This is about the 5th Ghanaian i heard about being stabbed. You Ghanaians have this problem in uk and you are there protesting about problems in Ghana.
You better make sure you are clean on your own soil before addressing problems on another soil.

My condolence to his parents and her sister
Rest in peace brother boatenf
This is getting out of hand what is in this London teens that they can’t keep knives away from their life..
Ghanaian should have a very massive protesting against this kind of violence towards them …
David Cameron should set rigid laws against this kind of attacks
@honesty, Preach i really agree with you. UK is not that perfect, the violence over there is even more than the one in GH, and then these people are demostrating making Ghana look bad, for David Cameron to do what? David has a lot of issues to solve in England, since its such a mess over there
@honesty, I don’t know if your a Ghanaians or Nigerian or whatever but your not making sense with your comment at all what has demonstrating hot to do with little Derek being stabbed to death? Derek made a mistake by going back to his old school whatever happened between Derek and the 15 years old boy is something we don’t know but one thing I can add to this is its about time parents sit their children down and do something about this killing and find out the life their children are living I mean what was a 15 years old doing with a knife in the first place Britain is a broken society allot of things happen behind close doors young children joining gangs I mean nowadays you got Ghanaians gangs, Nigerian gangs, Jamaica gangs polish gangs Asian gangs and mixed culture gangs in London my question is what are they fighting for and killing each other for they get inspiring by these older gangs, I believe parents need to educate their children more and make them understand where they come from its painful to loose a child at that young age
Am very sad about this !!!!
My condolence to his parents and her sister
Rest in peace brother boatenf
This is getting out of hand what is in this London teens that they can’t keep knives away from their life..

Rest In Perfect Peace!
this is so unfortunate
Patents of today are too obsessed with money and they take their children very loosely. It’s sad that all these young boys are killing themselves and its funny how their families always comes out to defend these children. If u have a child who is in a gang u have to find a way to help them draw away from such company because these are the results of gangs in this country. Thus boy went to him front another boy of An old issue hit what? Parents needs to take the warfare of their children very seriously and be involved in their lives and stop chafing money. The sister said he had a lot if friends. Who are these friends and what do they get up to? Do they know? It’s only few times that these victims are innocent and mistaken identity. Most of the times they are Aldo part of other gangs doing other things to people but its sad we get to find out the lives these children lived only after they can’t be helped. May this boys soul test in peace and all the Ghanaian parents chasing money to buy the world learn something from this. And the wayward fathers think of the results of your actions and help your children
@Cristalblack, well spoken thumps up
