The 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards 2013 will take place tonight at the Cultural Centre in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.

Ghanaian stars-Ama K. Abebrese and Adjetey Anang will join two other hosts from Nigeria to hosts the awards tonight.
Ghana will be vying for 7 awards with two productions; Yvonne Okoro’s ‘The Contract’ movie and ‘Kwaku Ananse’, a short film for the ‘AMAA 2013 Prize For Best Short Film’ category.
‘The Contract’ is nominated for ‘AMAA 2013 Prize For Best Director’, ‘AMAA 2013 Prize For Best Actress In A Leading Role’, ‘AMAA 2013 Prize For Best Actor In A Leading Role’, ‘AMAA 2013 Prize For Achievement In Screenplay’, ‘AMAA 2013 Prize For Achievement In Editing’ and ‘AMAA 2013 Prize For Achievement In Production Design’.
The two main characters in the movie Yvonne Okoro and Hlomla Dandala will both be vying for the Best Actress and Best Actor award.
