A jilted wife cut off her husband’s penis after finding out he had been dating an ex, a court in America has heard.

The hubby, who has not been named, said “his life ended” when his manhood was severed.

Prosecutors say jealous Catherine Kieu laced the man’s dinner with sleeping pills to knock him out before the attack.

She is accused of tying him to a bed when he was unconscious before cutting off his appendage with a 10inch kitchen knife and dumping it in a bin.

And the trial heard that 50-year-old Kieu yelled “you deserve it” three times – and the outbursts were caught on a voice-activated recorder she had hidden in the bedroom.

Her hubby told the court he underwent surgery after the horrific 2011 attack, but won’t ever fully recover.

His penis could not be reattached but doctors made it so he is able to urinate.

“She murdered me that night,” he said, “I will never have a sex life again.”

He added: “My mental state is improving, but it may never be what it was before.”

The husband said he remembered waking tied to the bed. “All of a sudden I felt a very sharp pain,” he said.

Kieu’s lawyer said the couple married after meeting at a gym.

He claimed that the husband subjected Kieu to verbal and sexual abuse and filed for divorce while they were still living together.

She is pleading not guilty to the charges of aggravated mayhem and torture due to mental illness.

The trial in Orange County, California, is expected to last two weeks.
