Multiple award winning Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah was on Saturday March 9 at the Eko Suites Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria named as ‘Best Actress in a Drama’ at the inaugural AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice Awards 2013.
The actress picked the nod ahead of Bubu Mazibuko (Man on Ground), Nolwazi Shange (Otelo Burning), Funke Akindele (Maami) and hugely favorite Genevieve Nnaji (The Mirror Boy) with the movie ‘Perfect Picture’ from Shirley Frimpong Manso.
Jackie’s triumph was the only award Ghana picked at the event. And you still do not think she is the best Ghana has ever produced?
