We always feel great in wearing tight clothes that seem to bring out our shapes and figures. In as much as such dresses make us look elegant, have we taught of its health implications?
We always seem to forget that everything has two sides, that is a good side and a bad side. The only good side of this is that it makes us look nice but the bad side? Oh very scary.
We love to copy the fashion world and when our celebrities wear tight clothes, we choose to join them. Even some of these clothes especially the jeans are so tiny that we struggle to squeeze our selves in them regardless of the pains they cause.
After wearing these clothes almost for the full day, we come home and complain of aching thighs and so on and think that pain killers and a little rest would solve our problems. Could we be ignorant of its causes or we just fail to associate it with the tight clothes?
Tight clothes, causes a nerve disorder called Paresthesia which doctors describe as being similar to Carpal tunnel syndrome. It causes a burning sensation under the hip bone. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a problem that comes about as a result of placing a lot of pressure on a nerve. The nerve, as a result grow weak with lack of feeling and pains.
Paresthesia is a sensation of tickling, tingling, burning, pricking or numbness of a person’s skin with no long term physical effects. Generally, it is known as the feeling of ‘pins and needles’. This is according to doctors may be transient or chronic.
All these are as a result of these tight clothes and belts we wear just to look beautiful. According to doctors, women experience more troubles with compression wear than men. There is a saying that men dress to attract ladies but ladies dress only to beat their fellow ladies who they see as their competitors, and guess what; they have numerous competitors. We would go to any length only to look well dressed than these competitors even at the peril of our lives. We wear all sorts of tight belts ranging from big, then to small, then medium, among others.
This can also affect the way we breathe if it is really tight up higher, and also affect our lungs. That is the price we pay to be fashionable.
If fashion will make ladies harm our selves, then I will suggest we wear less harmful clothes. The argument is, why would we not simply put a stop to it if it is really causing trouble, since it does not leave any woman undressed without it. We can do without them and still look elegantly dressed without battling with any health implications.
Let’s just try and live our lives out of such implications. At the end of the day, decency is what we really have to care about and not beating our competitors. For all we know they might be living their lives without thinking about us, but we dress with them in our minds. Save your self from this horrible disease called Paresthesia by avoiding such tight dresses.
