With the release of the 2013 of the Ghana Music Awards nominations sponsored by telecom giants-Vodafone, the doors have been opened for controversy and name calling especially from musicians who were left out of the final list.
Empire Entertainment’s Guru has been left out of the awards. Conspicuously missing in the list is his smash hit ‘Lapaz Toyota’. Few hours after the nominations were announced, the rapper tweeted his disappointed via his Twitter handle.
Even though he appears to be in shock and disappointed, he laughed at his expulsion from the awards. It is not however known if the song was submitted or whether it didn’t fall in the year under review.
In the coming weeks to the final day of the awards, it’s expected that other musicians will come out to criticize the awards.
In related news, ‘Asem is back again’ on the neck of the organizers of this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards-Charter House. He took to twitter yesterday to rant and express his shock as to why he was not nominated for the Artiste of the Year and Hip Hop/Hip Life Artiste of the Year…
