The fourth edition of the MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards was launched yesterday in Accra.
The launch was witnessed by musicians, managers, music video directors, producers and sound engineers.
Mr. Frank Sowah, rep of MTN before the launch of the awards said, the telecom giant is committed to the growth of the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
The awards night is slated for November 17 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Bullhaus Entertainment topped the list with 10 nominations with three music videos ‘Pampanaa’ by HipLife trio; VIP and ‘So High’ and ‘Body Set’ by NaturalFace.
VIP obtained 6 nominations with their ‘Pampanaa’ video whiles NaturalFace got 4 nominations with ‘So High’ and ‘Body Set’.
Becca’s $50,000 video ‘No Away’ would be intimidating the likes of Eazzy, Tiffany, Lousika, Sala and RNM in the Best Female Video category.
It’s a bit opened in the opposite category which is made up of EL with ‘Turn The Light Down’, Chase with ‘Lonely’, Tinny with ‘Anaconda’, Edem with ‘Ghetto Arise’, Chemphe’s #1 and Jay Ghartey’s Papa.
The Overall Best Video battle would be fought between NaturalFace’s ‘So High’, M.anifest’s ‘Makaa Maka’, Sarkodie’s ‘Saa Okodie’ featuring Obrafour, CWasi Oteng’s ‘God Dey Bless Me’, D-Black’s ‘Falling’ featuring Nigerian artiste, Mocheda and Becca’s ‘No Away’ video which also obtained 5 nominations in all.
