Chemphe’s Double P Campaign Launched In Accra

Due to the unfortunate demise of Ghana’s late president John Evans Atta Mills, the launch of Chemphe’s ‘Double P’ campaign was postponed.
The project ‘Double P’ has now been launched successfully in Accra. The project which is a campaign for Peace and against Poverty was launched on Saturday in a short ceremony at Grand Casamora Hotel in Accra.
Present to spell out the objectives of the project were CEO of E-Jam Records, James Korsah-Brown and the manager of Chemphe, Mr. Benoit Brown, head of Ivory Refugees and Mr. Chris Afriyie, the owner of the hotel.
According to the musician, real name Henry Randy Agyekum Chemphe, he has been very instrumental in using his brand as a celebrity to administer peace and poverty programmes across the globe.
He recollected how his hit single ‘Why You Dey Treat Am Bad’ made it to the world Chart Show and was there on several weeks as Pan African hit song. The campaign against violence on women helped him to become a peace ambassador globally.
The Double P campaign is a sensitization project. What it does is to visit areas which have not seen major advancement or which have not received its fair share of the national cake.
Workshops are organised for folks in such areas and advised on how to manage their scarce resources.
At the launch Chemphe and his team shared the remarkable response they received when they visited a fishing village in Tema Newton. According to them, the responses in Tema has given them the urge on and believe they are not working in vain.
Their next sensitization project will be in Saltpond, Central Region on August 25 and Jakiti in the Eastern Region on November 29.
