Actress Jackia Appiah has presented a cash cheque of GH¢3000 to the second runner-up of the just ended “Talented Kids” season three show, as a year scholarship for Winigold Gimmah Boakyi who took Jackie as her mentor during the final show.
Jackie did the official presentation at TV3 premises (Adesa we) on Friday May 11, 2012, when TV3 management also used the opportunity to present prizes to this year winner Malaika Saby who took home, GH¢2000 worth of Indomie products and hampers from other sponsors, first runner-up Sandra Nyamekyie who won GH¢1000 worth of Indomie products and products from other sponsors, second runner-up Winigold had more goodies even more than the ultimate winner. Aside the GH¢3000 scholarship, she took home GH¢500 worth of Indomie products and hampers from other sponsors.
In her speech, Jackie Appiah said she had been watching the talent show on TV3 and had observed all the kids who participate in the talent search show have enormous raw talents which only needs to be polished.
She disclosed that she is aware that majority of her fan-base are children and promised to always support as far as it has something to do with kids. Jackie also presented gift hampers to all the finalists of the show.
Management of TV3 thanked the actress for her kind gesture adding that she always adds more colour to the show. In return, Winigold gave Jackie Appiah a red teddy bear to express her appreciation to the screen goddess.
Jackie has done similar presentations to finalists of previous editions of the show. In 2010, the actress offered a year scholarship to two finalists from the maiden edition of the show, and this year, she chose Winigold.
