This very creative piece by Ghanaian hiphop star D-Black is barely 2 weeks old since its release and yet is on the lips of every Tom, Dick and Harry with massive radio rotation and online presence. ‘VERA’ the title of the song tells the story of a female love interest who broke D-Black’s heart after he dedicated his life, time, energy, finances and love to her.
The song features upcoming hiphop act Joey B, who makes fun of D-Black for falling that hard as he cries on the song about his heartbreak. From the day of release #VERA trended on twitter for 3 days as Ghanaian twitter users kept tweeting, commenting on the #VERA Song and playing it at all hours of the day. #VERA in 24 hours received 5,000 plus downloads on the hulkshare download website.
