March 27: Pressure Group To Petition IGP On Alleged ‘Asempa FM Raid’!
A pressure group, Forum for Governance and Justice has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) on the alleged “raiding of Asempa FM by angry NPP supporters”. The statement was issued by Dr Clement A. Apaak, Convener of FGJ, said the move formed part of efforts to “promote good governance, protect the right to free speech as well as enhance media freedom.
March 27: Judge Angry Over Woyome!
The High Court judge trying the Alfred Agbesi Woyome GH¢51.2million fraudulent case is angry with the Attorney General over its handling of the matter. Justice John Ajet-Nasam has expressed disappointment with the slow pace at which the prosecution was handling the case.
March 28: NDC Challenges NPP To Prove Allegations!
The Eastern Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has challenged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prove their allegations that the NDC is housing large numbers of aliens and was transporting them to register in some communities. The NDC said if the NPP had any evidence they should take the media to those places to take pictures and show it to the world.
March 28: NDC Will Go Into Opposition – Teye Nyaunu!
National Democratic Congress MP for Lower Manya Michael Teye Nyaunu has declared his ruling party will go into opposition come the December elections. The legislator said the strained relationship between the founder of the NDC, Jerry John Rawlings, and the party as well as President John Evans Atta Mills, will adversely affect the party in the upcoming polls and if nothing is done about it now, the party will find itself in opposition again.
March 28: Frances And Anita Throw Blows On Metro TV!
National Democratic Congress Women’s Organisr Anita De-Dosou and New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for the December Elections insulted each other at Metro TV Studios during their Good Morning Ghana programme. They verbally assaulted each other with words like “traitor,” “betrayer,” “prostitute” and other unprintable invectives.
March 28: Hundreds Of NPP Supporters Welcome Bawumia Home!
Hundred of New Patriotic Party supporters welcome the party’s 2008 running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he arrived in Ghana on Tuesday night. The rousing welcome was ahead of his naming as the vice presidential candidate of the party for the December elections.
March: NDC Deserves Another Term-DCE!
Mr Jato Moayi Jasper, Kpandai District Chief Executive (DCE) has observed that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) deserves a second term in office, since it has delivered beyond its promises in the 2008 Party Manifesto. The newly outdoored 2012 running mate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has said he felt humbled with the overwhelming endorsement he had from the National Executive Council members of the party as vice presidential candidate. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi News’ Umaru Sanda Amadu, from his Kanda residence, he said the “sacred responsibility” entrusted on him will lead to the total transformation of the country when the NPP is given the nod in the December 2012 elections.
