Actor & Entrepreneur John Dumelo Hosts Africa Week In USA+ Photos

Celebrated Ghanaian Actor John Dumelo was invited as a special guest and a co-host of “Africa Week” at Cornell University in New York for the University’s “Africa Week” celebration which took place on March 9th 2012.
As co-host of the fashion show, he had the opportunity to talk about his acting career as well as his recently launched J.Melo fashion line.
This event was an opportunity for people to learn about the John Dumelo foundation as well, the well-rounded actor and entrepreneur educated the audience about his goal for 2013 where he commits to a “30 African Nation outreach” to improve quality education in Africa, One African Country at a time.
John Dumelo also mentioned at the event that, as part of his ongoing foundation project, he is currently constructing a $40,000 primary school block in the upper west region of Ghana and also renovating selected primary and junior high schools.
The well attended event presented fans and patrons the opportunity to take photos with charming John Dumelo. According to John Dumelo, he felt very honored to be chosen to share his time and career experience with students and guests of one of the Ivy League schools in the United States, ranked amongst the top universities in the world.
John closed the evening by leaving his audience with a food for thought, “we need to be the change we ought to see in ourselves, Let us Join hands and influence education in our nation, One Country at a time:”
Part of the Proceeds from the “Africa Week” goes to the John Dumelo foundation for the purpose of enhancing education in Africa
