On the African radar, Ghanaian screen badboy Majid Michel made Ghana proud by winning the 2011 Favourite West Africa Best Actor Award beating Osita Iheme, Ramsey Nouah, Mike Ezuruonye, Hakeem Kae Kazim and John Dumelo…

Nollywood star Omotola Jalade Ekeinde took home the Favourite West Africa Best Actress Award to the shock of  Ama K Abebrese, Jackie Appiah, Genevieve Nnaji, Mercy Johnson and Funke Akindele who were in a fierce competition with her-hoping to grab the award.

Mirror Boy made Nollywood proud by kicking Perfect Picture, Sinking Sand, ‘Inale’ and ‘The Figurine’ to the backyard to win Favourite West African Film.

Also, the British hit series, Luther, which stars Ghana-Serra Leone Hollywood/British star-Idris Elba won the Diversity in Drama Production with The Parkers, and Monique took the US Screen Personality Female award.
