So first it was Miss France – je ne sais quoi, who had the audacity to suggest Miss Angola Leila Lopes won based on where the venue was held and is a plain Jane. I guess Leila Lopes should have dredge up the same scandal Miss France was caught up in January of this year. A French newspaper published pictures of Miss France Laury Tilleman with a beer in hand and kissing a “female friend”. No wonder she thought Miss Angola was very discreet.

After the negative comments made by Miss France, controversy is still hounding Miss Angola. An Argentina newspaper published a report stating a certain man by the name of Charles Mukano helped Miss Angola falsify documents stating she was a student at a British school, therefore enabling her to enter a competition for Angolans living in the UK. It even goes as far as saying Leila Lopes has never lived outside of Angola and that Mukano bribed the judges to ensure Leila Lopes wins. It is also being reported Miss Angola is actually Cuban and not from Angola.

Although Miss Universe Organizations is claiming all the allegations are false, we all know there could be some truth to it.  Corruption is everywhere but, it is very well known that Africans are notorious when it comes to falsifying documents and bribing officials when need be to move ahead (I’m just saying). Nevertheless, congrats to Miss Angola, she deserves it.
